- "You must be sure to visit the Skydome Botanical Gardens. The Mysess blossoms are in full bloom and, oh, my, oh, my, are they something to see."
- ―A taxi droid
The Skydome Botanical Gardens were a set of gardens in Galactic City, the ecumenopolis that covered[1] the Core Worlds[2] planet Coruscant.[1] Around 9 ABY,[3] a taxi droid driving from the Galaxies Opera House to Amnesty Housing on Coruscant advised its fare, new-comer to Coruscant Doctor Penn Pershing, to visit the gardens, explaining that the Mysess blossoms there were in bloom and were a sight to behold.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Skydome Botanical Gardens were mentioned in "Chapter 19: The Convert," the third episode of the Disney+ show The Mandalorian's third season,[1] which aired on March 15, 2023.[4] The gardens originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they first appeared in Kevin J. Anderson's 1994 novel, Jedi Search.[5] It was then depicted for the first time in Legends on a map in Coruscant and the Core Worlds, a 2003 roleplaying supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game produced by Wizards of the Coast.[6]

"A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, the latter of which includes "Chapter 19: The Convert," must all be set in 9 ABY as well.
