The Shwuy Exchange was a hyperspace route that went between the astronomical objects Uviuy Exen and Vakkar in the Colonies region.[3] It passed through the Shwuy and Fakir sectors.[2] From Uviuy Exen, which lay on the Hydian Way[6] super-hyperroute,[7] the route went to the Mefti and Thrinittik systems,[6] and then to[4] the planet[8] Caraad[4] before it reached the Palanhi system,[6] which acted as a junction onto the Namadii Corridor.[5] After Palanhi, the route terminated at the Vakkar system, where one had to use local astrocartographers and smugglers to travel anywhere beyond.[3] The route passed through Standard Galactic Grid squares K-9, K-8, L-8, and L-9.[6]

Behind the scenes

The Schwuy Exchange was first depicted in the galactic map in Fantasy Flight Games' 2016 canon roleplaying supplement Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game.[9] It was then identified in the StarWars.com article Where in the Galaxy Are the Worlds of Rogue One?, published on January 31 2017.[3]

This assumes that the name "Namadii Corridor," as used in Collapse of the Republic, applies to the canon hyperspace route depicted on the map that matches the depiction of the Star Wars Legends route with the same name in The Essential Atlas per BlueskyLogo Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
