A salvage yard was a facility where obsolete or decommissioned spacecraft, ranging from starfighters[1] to capital ships, were dismantled for scrap[2] or destroyed after being salvaged for valuable components.[1] Repaak Salyard was a salvage yard on the planet Ferrix operated by Salman Paak.[3] Reklam Station, an Imperial salvage yard orbiting within the atmosphere of the planet Yarma, was used to destroy old Republic Y-wings whose hyperdrives had been salvaged.[1] Some shipyards, such as the one at Kartoosh, served also as salvage yards.[2] During the era of the New Republic, the New Republic have a salvage yard called the Shipyard Depot on the planet Coruscant, that is salvaged an decommissioned Imperial Star Destroyers.[4] The Santhe Shipyards and its facility, were also the salvage yard in Coronet City on the planet Corellia to salvage the decommissioned Imperial Star Destroyers, and the Super Star Destroyers, including the Executor-class.[5]
