Sakiyan shadowsuits were body gloves woven by members of the Sakiyan species[1] of the planet Saki[2] from the silk of the umbraspider, which could refract and absorb light to make the wearer almost impossible to see other than in bright light. The suits were used by assassins who wished to remain unseen. During the Galactic Civil War they cost two thousand credits and were hard to find available for purchase.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Sakiyan shadowsuits were mentioned in the 2019 Star Wars Roleplaying supplement Gadgets and Gear, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games.[1] The suits originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were mentioned in Lords of Nal Hutta, a 2015 supplement for Star Wars: Edge of the Empire that was also published by Fantasy Flight Games.[3]
