On the oceanic planet of Ootoola, during the final decades of the Galactic Republic, a dynasty ruled whose patriarch served both as monarch and priest.[2] Around 33 BBY,[3] some Ootoolans deemed the reigning patriarch not «pure» enough for his position.[1] Dissenters sent thugs to kill the current patriarch and his wife,[4] and, after the assassination , appointed a new «pure» patriarch to seize the throne. Only princess Foolookoola survived from the royal family, and a hunt for her began. With the help of her uncles, her Mistryl Shadow Guard guardian Naradan D'ulin, and a hired smuggler Vilmarh Grahrk, Foolookoola successfully left the planet. The fugitive heiress was given shelter on Dur Sabon by friends of the royal family.[1]
