The astronomical object Rintonne[3] was situated in the Rintonne system[4] within the Lambda sector[3] of both the Mid Rim[1] and Trailing Sectors.[2] It was located in square P-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] In the Separatist Crisis,[3] between 24 BBY and 22 BBY,[5] half of the sector departed with Senator Po Nudo from the Galactic Republic for the growing Confederacy of Independent Systems. While a portion of the Lambda sector defected, Rintonne and the Andoan Free Colonies remained with the Republic.[3] Years later in 34 ABY,[6] Rintonne's location was noted on a partial map of the galaxy displayed aboard the Star Cruiser Halcyon.[7]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Rintonne was introduced via depiction on a galactic map in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 boxed set for Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1] Rintonne's first in-universe appearance came in the form of being depicted on a map viewable in Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, an immersive roleplaying experience at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida[7] that opened to the public on March 1, 2022,[8] and had its final voyage from September 28 to 30, 2023.[9] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Rintonne was originally introduced in Wanted by Cracken, a 1993 supplement to Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game authored by Louis J. Prosperi and published by West End Games.[10]
