The receiving chamber was one of the assembly areas used by the Sorcerers of Rhand. It was located in the Central Ruin on the planet Rhand in the Nihil Retreat star cluster of the Perann Nebula in the Unknown Regions. The structure the chamber was located in had been built millennia ago by the original inhabitants of Rhand who had disappeared and left only ruins behind. In 80 BBY a chronicler from Carrivar named Succate ventured to the Central Ruins of Rhand to learn more about the Sorcerers. In the ruin's receiving chamber, Succate was harassed and intimidated by Rhandites in various states of disassembly and decay.
