- "Hey, Mister Jedi. I told you, I run the tugboat remotes. I ain't no racer."
"What's your name again?"
"Regump."
"Okay, Regump… keep this boat pointed at that boat and hold on." - ―Regump and Mace Windu
Regump was a Lutrillian who worked at an underwater prison complex on the moon Devshi, operating the docking remotes on its surface platform. By 48 BBY, a group of droids from the prison commandeered a skiff that Regump was parking and fled the platform. Shortly after the incident, Jedi Knight Mace Windu arrived on the platform and used a mind trick to convince Regump to help him pursue the droids. The Lutrillian then piloted a Bantha-II cargo skiff for the Jedi, allowing Windu to catch up to the droids and disable them.
Biography
Unwilling Jedi assistant
- "Did a group of droids come through here?"
"Five of 'em. Stepped out of the prison elevator and right onto a skiff I was parking. They took off before I could say anything. Not my skiff, so…" - ―Mace Windu and Regump
Regump worked on a prison complex ocean platform.
Regump was a Lutrillian who worked on the ocean moon Devshi, operating the docking remotes for tugboats at the ocean platform of an underwater prison complex.[1] By 48 BBY,[2] Regump was parking a skiff when a group of five droids exited the elevator leading from the prison up to the platform and commandeered the skiff, departing the platform before Regump could say anything.[1]
Shortly after the droids' departure,[1] Jedi Knight[3] Mace Windu swam to the platform after surfacing from the prison and climbed on board. Regump told the Jedi he ought not to be on the platform but also informed him about the droids. The Jedi then requested a vessel to pursue the droids and a captain to pilot it, but Regump refused and pointed out they were not a pilot, just the docking remote controller. Windu used a mind trick to convince Regump to aid him, and the pair began pursuing the droids in a Bantha-II cargo skiff.[1]
Force-assisted boat chase captain
- "What are you doing?"
"Just giving us a little push…" - ―Regump and Mace Windu
Mace Windu mind tricked Regump into piloting a skiff for him.
After the skiff caught up to the droids' vessel, Windu called for Regump to go faster, but the Lutrillian reminded the Jedi that they were not a racer. Instructing Regump to keep the vessel aimed at the droids' boat, Windu used the Force at the rear of the vessel to push the skiff forward, throwing his lightsaber at the engine of the other vessel as they caught up to it.[1]
With the enemy skiff incapacitated, Regump circled around the other vessel on Windu's orders as the Jedi held his ignited lightsaber in the water to generate steam. This disabled the droids on board and allowed Regump and Windu to board the skiff through the clearing steam. The Jedi then explained to Regump that the droids had all worked at the prison until someone overrode their programming. He then recovered a system-wide[1] master skeleton key[4] from the droids before leaving Devshi.[1]
Personality and traits
- "I run the docking remotes. I'm no skiff pilot."
"You're a great skiff pilot and would be happy to."
"I'm a great skiff pilot and would be happy to." - ―Regump is mind tricked by Mace Windu
Regump was unconcerned with the droids stealing a skiff from the prison platform, as the vehicle did not belong to the Lutrillian. The docking remotes operator was affected by Windu's mind trick[1]—a Force technique that worked primarily on the weak-minded[5]—although they maintained that they were not good at piloting skiffs, even after being influenced. Regump had light skin, orange eyes, and gray hair.[1]
Equipment
While working on the platform, Regump wore a pair of orange overalls with a black shirt, black boots, and a black belt. The Lutrillian had several tools hung on the belt and moved them to the front pocket of the overalls while piloting a skiff.[1]

Therefore, the events of Mace Windu 1 must take place by that year.
