The Orooturoo system was a star system located in the Farlax sector of the Core Worlds. It was situated in grid square K-10 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and was the home[3] of the Orooturooian species.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Orooturoo system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, and was recanonized when it was included in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[5]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. This article treats the Orooturoo system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Orooturooian species.
