The Nharqis'l system was located in the Veragi sector, a part of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories.[2] It was situated in grid square K-2 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Nharqis'l system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[3] The system originated as the nebula known as the Nharqis'I in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the short story "The Longest Fall," which was written by Patricia A. Jackson, illustrated by Chris Trevas, and published in the November 1996 eleventh issue of West End Games' Star Wars Adventure Journal magazine.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry,[5] and its StarWars.com Online Companion misspelled the nebula's name as the Nharqis'l, with a lower-case "L."[6]
