The Nessem system was a star system located in the Lostar sector of the Expansion Region. It was situated in grid square M-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] which was also part of the Interior.[2]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Nessem system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[3] The system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in "Horning In," a Star Wars Roleplaying Game mini-adventure written by Jeff Quick and published on the website of Wizards of the Coast on January 17, 2002[4] The system was first identified in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Fry and Daniel Wallace.[5]
