Nen was the star of[4] the Quellor sector's Neimoidia system, a part of the regions known as the Colonies[1] and the Slice.[2] It was orbited by the planet Neimoidia and its sole moon.[4] Situated along a major hyperspace route, Nen sat at grid square M-10 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[3]

Behind the scenes

Nen was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the fifty-second issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[4] in an article written by Mark Newbold,[5] published around December 30, 2015.[6] The image used to depict Nen was also used in Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon to illustrate several other stars.[7][8][9]

In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Nen was introduced via an indirect mention in Cloak of Deception, a 2001 novel authored by James Luceno.[10] It was later identified in The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.[11]
