- "Whenever it's us, things get complicated. That time with Shaak Ti on Naran-Shiv. That nest of gundarks. Geonosis. Maybe the trick is to separate us and things will go smoothly. For once."
- ―Obi-Wan Kenobi, to Anakin Skywalker
Naran-Shiv was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] located in the Expansion Region's Tacuni sector, within the Naran-Shiv system. It was situated in grid square O-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, and Jedi Master Shaak Ti were involved in an incident on Naran-Shiv[2] sometime between 32 BBY and 22 BBY. In the latter year,[3] shortly after Skywalker had been promoted to the rank of Knight, Kenobi brought up the mission to Naran-Shiv while discussing how events involving both of them had a tendency to become complicated.[2]
Behind the scenes
Naran-Shiv was first mentioned in the 2022 novel Brotherhood, written by Mike Chen.[2]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines establishes Anakin Skywalker became Obi-Wan Kenobi's Padawan in 22 BBY. Timelines also dates the events of Brotherhood to 22 BBY. As Brotherhood indicates that the visit to Naran-Shiv occurred when Skywalker was a Padawan, it must have taken place at some point between those two years.
