The Moddell Node was a node that shared its name[1] with the Moddell sector, a sub-sector of the Zuma sector in the Outer Rim Territories, which also contained the Sugai sector.[2] During the New Republic Era, the consular office of the New Republic's Space Ministry on[1] the world[3] Firrerre issued a red-level METOSP titled 558 ModSuFi through the Moddell Node and its Sugai Subnode. The METOSP warned spacers of the dangers of traveling to the planet Jakku[1] in the Inner Rim Territories.[4] The scavenger Rey found a physical copy of the METOSP on the Pilgrim's Road on Jakku and, believing it to be good advice, included it in a survival guide[1] she[4] compiled[1] by 34 ABY.[5]
Behind the scenes
The Moddell Node was mentioned in Rey's Survival Guide, a 2015 replica journal written by Jason Fry. The node is only mentioned on part of a fold-out page[1] that was not included in the edition of the book released in the United States.[6]
