- "The League must expand. To restore our power to the heights it reached during the Republic, we need to recruit independent smugglers. Yes, they'll never know what it was like to solo the Miyuki Gap with Vectors on your tail, but we're still a collective and we watch each other's backs"
- ―A data message about the future of the Miyuki Trade League
The Miyuki Gap was a location that shared its name with the smuggling syndicate known as the Miyuki Trade League. During the time of the Galactic Republic, members of the league were known to navigate the Miyuki Gap solo while being chased by Jedi Vector starfighters. When the trade league started hiring independent smugglers during the reign of the Galactic Empire, a member of the league composed a message acknowledging that the new smugglers would lack the same experience of traversing the Miyuki Gap; a copy of the message had been stored on a datapad[1] by 3 ABY[2] in an office on the space station Hauler's Keep that was controlled by the Miyuki Trade League.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Miyuki Gap was mentioned in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the video game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft[1] on May 15, 2025.[3] The datapad message titled "Our Future," which mentions the Miyuki Gap, can be read by the player while on Hauler's Keep anytime after completing the expansion's "No Prey, No Pay" main quest.[1]
