- "Dobbs says that he knows where [the Great Leveler] comes from. That there are plenty more. That's where we're going. To gather their eggs. […] He says it's going to be difficult, like flying through hell itself. The eggs are on a world he's calling Planet X. Apparently, it has no name of its own but is surrounded by something called the Veil."
- ―Bokana Koss to Marda Ro
In 382 BBY,[2] members of the Path of the Open Hand cult lead by hyperspace prospector Radicaz Dobbs undertook a mission to the mysterious Planet X to retrieve eggs of the Nameless species. They traveled in three starships, though one was destroyed by the planet's Veil and one crash landed. One member of the team, Calar—himself a Force-sensitive whose powers disturbed true Path believer Marda Ro—also needed to be killed by Radicaz Dobbs during the push through the Veil: Calar foresaw that their actions would have grave consequences for the galaxy and the Force itself and tried to sacrifice their ship in the name of all other life, yet he was shot by Dobbs before he could reach the controls.[1]
After retrieving many of the eggs, group member Bokana Koss experienced a Force vision matching Calar's, claiming that massive beings called the Under-Dwellers wanted the Path to escape Planet X so as to begin a blight upon the galaxy. The group was then attacked by an Under-Dweller that emerged from the planet's caves, knocking Koss out of the vision. The Under-Dweller was subdued by the protector, another massive creature. However, the protector then attacked the group of Path members, who were indeed trying to escape the world on the Silverstreak, a ship that had previously crash-landed on the planet that they fixed up. Koss sacrificed himself to take down the protector and allow the ship to escape. After making the jump to hyperspace away from the planet safely, those aboard the Silverstreak discovered that the Bonecrusher and its crew had vanished.[1]
