Geth was a human who was a member of the Path of the Open Hand cult and its sub-group the Path of the Closed Fist.[4] He was in a relationship with the Children of the Open Hand member Shea Ganandra, who eventually became pregnant with their child, though Geth did not know.[2] In 382 BBY,[5] he was traveling with other members of the Path on a starship carrying many eggs of the Nameless species. After their ship entered a firefight with the Galactic Republic Pathfinder ship Witherbloom, the ships crash-landed on a rocky planet, breaking open one of the Nameless eggs and setting the creature free.[1]
Geth, while walking through the downed ship with Shalish and Wole, encountered Sula Badani, a Jedi who was a member of the Pathfinder team on the Witherbloom. The three fired on the Jedi, but Badani managed to disarm them. Just as the three started to explain their mission, the effects of the nearby Nameless overwhelmed Badani, allowing Geth and the others to escape.[1] Shalish wished to have killed the Jedi, but Geth said they should forget about her because the Nameless would kill them too if it got in. They then encountered Pako, a member of the Witherbloom team, and the team's droid EX-5A and began to fire on them. When Pako returned fire, Geth was shot in the shoulder and Shalish cried out his name.[4]
Geth and the other members of the Path stumbled upon Coron Solstus and Rok Buran as they re-entered the wreckage after fleeing from the creature. Buran persuaded the Path members to join into a truce so that Geth could be treated for his blaster wound. As the group joined the other survivors of the crash, Geth was treated by Ambar.[6]
When the creature entered the wreckage, Master Xinith Tarl told Ambar they had to move to somewhere safer. The medic grabbed Geth and helped him walk. The survivors met in a hallway and Geth was told that the rest of the Path members had been killed by the creature. He assumed he would join their fate, but Buran insisted that they would all make it out alive. During their escape, Geth asked Buran why they were helping him, and the Jedi Master responded that it was was the right thing to do.[7]
