In 9 ABY,[3] Mandalorian Sabine Wren was ambushed by a group of bandits on the extragalactic planet Peridea during her search for her friend Jedi Ezra Bridger.[1]She and Bridger would kill the bandits, as well as several of Thrawn's Night Troopers.
The mission
First attack
Shortly after being reunited, Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren spotted Shin Hati on a hilltop, prompting Bridger to turn his pod around. Several Bandits then charged towards them, and would damage a pod, forcing Bridger to stop in order to protect the damaged pod. Meanwhile T-6 1974, piloted by Huyang, dropped Ahsoka Tano onto the ground before being attacked by starfighters of Morgan Elsbeth's forces. Ahsoka then engaged in a duel with Baylan Skoll, who was preventing her from joining the battle. Tano would escape when T-6 1974 fired a barage of missiles, causing a cloud of smoke and dust to envelop the nearby area. Meanwhile, Bridger and Wren bested several bandits, before Bridger was attacked by Shin Hati. At the same time, Sabine was attacked by the last remaining bandit, before killing them.
Night Trooper attack
Bridger easily evaded Shin's attacks, but was distracted by two approaching patrol gunships, and was force pushed into a pod. The gunships landed, and out of them came Night Troopers of Team One and Team Two, units of Thrawn's forces. Thrawn's forces attacked, just as Ahsoka Tano arrived on her howler. The night troopers suffered heavy casualties, including 3 being blown up by Sabine's wrist rocket launchers. Shin's lightsaber strikes were easily dodged by Tano as she attempted to attack. Seeing that they were suffering casualties, Thrawn ordered the gunships to be recalled, and for the aerial pursuit to be called off. The night troopers retreated, with one being shot while retreating. Tano then attempted to persuade Shin to turn away from the dark side, but she ran away, and set out to join the bandits.
Aftermath
Ezra and Tano hugged each other, and Ezra commented that he might be going home after all. Meanwhile, Thrawn commented to Morgan Elsbeth that he considered the battle a success. Morgan commented that she only saw her enemies reunited. Thrawn then told Morgan that the cargo transfer was almost complete, meaning they would soon leave exile, and that Ahsoka had lost time, the one thing she could not afford to lose. Thrawn said that time was on their side, and that he would keep it that way, and then left the room.
