The Noti's Pod Mobile Houses,[5] or simply called Noti Pods,[1] were the tan-colored mobile homes of the Noti people on Peridea.[4] The Noti spent their lives on the move.[1] Besides providing accommodation, the pods also acted as transportation that allowed the Noti to travel the plains of Peridea.[3]
The Jedi Ezra Bridger, who lived with the Noti during his self-exile on Peridea, had a much larger pod-shaped home to account for his greater size in comparison to the Noti.[3]
Description
The Pods had anti-gravity generators,[3] and when the Noti were ready to a new location in Peridea's plains or flee danger, the repulsorlifts enabled the pods to lift from the ground and slowly travel.[1] A hatch atop the homes could close to protect the driver. The homes also had a door at the back for entering and exiting, as well as a window that could be lifted open.[3] The Noti often parked their pods in defensive circles, creating temporary settlements for them to live in.[1]
Behind the scenes
The vehicle first appeared in the sixth episode of the first season of the Disney+ live-action series Star Wars: Ahsoka,[4] which aired on September 19, 2023.[6] The vehicle later received its own Databank entry and was identified as "Noti's Pod Mobile Houses."[5] The vehicle was then identified as "Noti Pods" in the 2024 Dorling Kindersley reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy, which was authored by Dan Brooks, Megan Crouse, Amy Richau, Amy Ratcliffe, Brandon Wainerdi, Dan Zehr, and Kelly Knox.[1]
