- "On my very first mission with Master Mirro, on Gatalenta, we met a Vintian sculptor called Shale."
- ―Amadeo Azzazzo, to the crew of the Vessel
By 232 BBY,[1] during the High Republic Era, a mission on[2] the Core Worlds planet[3] Gatalenta was undertaken by members of the Jedi Order, Jedi Master Mirro Lox and[2] his[4] Jedi Padawan Amadeo Azzazzo. The mission was Azzazzo's first ever with his Master, and while on Gatalenta they met a Vintian sculptor named Shale who worked in metals.[2]
In 228 BBY,[5] while on[2] the Core Worlds[3] planet Coruscant, the crew of the Byne Guild starship Vessel—Affie Hollow, Leox Gyasi, and the Vinitan Geode—met the various members of a team they had been hired to take to[2] the Mid Rim[3] planet Kashyyyk for a mission. After greeting Azzazzo, Hollow mentally noted that he had been one of the few Vessel passengers to have ever been unsurprised by Geode. The Padawan then recalled his mission on Gatalenta, informing them he had met a Vintian before.[2]
Behind the scenes
The mission on Gatalenta was mentioned in the 2025 young-adult novel The High Republic: Into the Light, written by Claudia Gray as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase III.[6]

Amadeo Azzazzo in the Databank (backup link), at the time of the emergence of the Nihil and Drengir, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia dates to 232 BBY, Mirro Lox and Amadeo Azzazzo were away in the Outer Rim on a mission. As The High Republic: Into the Light states the mission on Gatalenta was Azzazzo's first with Lox, it must have occurred before their mission in the Outer Rim and by 232 BBY.

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic Adventures (2023) 16, which features the Stormwall going down, takes place one year and a few months after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY. The events of The High Republic: Tears of the Nameless also take place in 228 BBY per the reasoning here. As The High Republic: Into the Light states its events occur after the events of Tears of the Nameless and before the Stormwall goes down, they must also take place in that year.
