Medtech Industries

Medtech Industries,^[1] or simply Medtech,^[3] was the manufacturer of the FX-series medical droids.^[1] Tuya worked as a bioengineer at Medtech, for whom she developed the Nanite Launcher prototype. When Medtech attempted to use the prototype for means she could not morally justify, she left the company after stealing back her prototype.^[4] Medtech managed to blacklist her from the bioengineering field by spreading word of her actions to other companies, forcing her to head for Coronet City and, ultimately, to the Hunters of the Outer Rim. By joining the Hunters, she hoped to spread word of the healing possibilities presented by nanites and raise enough concerns about Medtech that the company would be shut down.^[5]
