Medtech Industries was a droid manufacturing company that was also a trailblazer in the medical field. They developed some of the earliest medical droids, including the FX-series medical assistant droid. However, increased competition in the field, along with changing consumer tastes led the once successful company to not be able to produce any new models.[1]
Medtech relocated to the Deep Core before declaring bankruptcy shortly before the Battle of Hoth.[2] The company apparently fell out of business by 3 ABY, likely due to its primary line, the FX-series, becoming obsolete.[3]
