The Marca system was a star system in the Meerian sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories.[2] It fell within grid square N-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained the swamp planetMarca. By 10 BBY,[4] the Imperial Army swamp trooper Corporal Danith Nodar had been rotated out of service on Marca for insubordination.[3]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Marca system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[5] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Marca was part of the Marcellus system, which first appeared in "Planet of the Mists," a 1992 adventure supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Nigel D. Findley and published by West End Games.[6]
