Marca was a terrestrial swamp planet[3] in the Marca system of the Meerian sector within the Outer Rim Territories[1] and New Territories.[2] It fell within grid square N-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] By 10 BBY,[4] the Imperial Army swamp trooper Corporal Danith Nodar had been rotated out of service on Marca for insubordination and transferred to the planet Mimban to participate in the Mimban Campaign, which she saw as a punishment.[3]
Behind the scenes
In the new Star Wars canon, Marca was first mentioned in the 2018 reference book Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[3] The planet Marca originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it appeared in Planet of the Mists, a 1992 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Nigel D. Findley and published by West End Games.[5]
