Malola was the star of the Mygeeto system in the Albarrio sector, which was a part of the Outer Rim Territories and New Territories regions. It was orbited by the planets Reerez, Pergoomi, which were the closest in its orbit, Mygeeto and its two moons, which were the third, and Mygeeto's sister world of Itzeho. Malola also lay close to Zuborta Ma, an asteroid field that was located beyond Itzeho,[1] and was situated at grid square K-5 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[3]
Behind the scenes
Malola was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the forty-fifth issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[1] published around November 11, 2015.[4] The image used to depict Malola was also repurposed to illustrate several other stars in the magazine.[5][6][7] Malola was originally mentioned in the Star Wars Legends continuity in The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.[8]
