"It has been a while. You know, I seem to remember you owing me a big favor after all that nasty business on Malkii. Or maybe I should get in touch with the Hutts—"
"Oh, no, no, no, that won't be necessary."
―Tobias Beckett and Tu-Wane Jipps[2]

Malkii was a terrestrial astronomical object where the musician Tu-Wane Jipps was involved in some nasty business that caused him to owe a huge favor to the criminal Tobias Beckett at some point prior to[2] 10 BBY.[3]

Behind the scenes

Malkii was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Tales of Villainy: Credits," the second story of the fourth issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars Adventures. The story was written by Jordan Clark[2] and published by IDW Publishing on March 24, 2021.[4] Malkii originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity as a planet.[5] It was was first mentioned by it's demonym "Malkite" in the 1979 novel Han Solo's Revenge, which was written by Brian Daley.[6] It was later identified as "Malkii" in the 1984 reference book A Guide to the Star Wars Universe, which was authored by Raymond L. Velasco.[5]
