The Long Shadow system was located in the Kallea sector of the Outer Rim Territories in the galaxy. The system was located in grid square K-21 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

The Long Shadow system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the article "Star Systems of the Galaxy" published on StarWars.com on June 24, 2025.[1] The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[2]
