Finding his blaster stuck in its holster, Lobereki grunts and exclaims
Lobereki was a Duraceph courier with a fast starship who was active during the High Republic Era. In 132 BBY, he and a group of other locals dined with Jedi Master Indara—whom he considered somewhat attractive for a non-Duraceph—in the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop in Point Ueda on the planet Ueda. As they ate, the Sith assassin Mae-ho Aniseya approached and demanded that Indara attack her.
Lobereki and the other locals initially laughed at Aniseya, but when the Jedi declined to fight, the assassin instead attacked her companions. The Duraceph fought against her in return but, after his blaster stuck in its holster, Aniseya kicked a table into the courier and knocked him out. She then killed Indara and left.
Biography
Dinner with a Jedi
- "Master Indara."
"Yes, my child?"
"We have unfinished business. Attack me with all your strength."
[Lobereki and others laugh] - ―Mae-ho Aniseya confronts Indara
Lobereki dined with Indara and other locals at the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop.
Lobereki was a Duraceph who worked as a courier during the High Republic Era. Local to Point Ueda, the capital of the planet Ueda, he traveled frequently and so was kept well-informed of any nearby incidents that were worth reporting to the human Indara, a Jedi Master stationed on Ueda. Indara preferred hearing unvarnished truths and agenda-free reports from locals like Lobereki than from the planetary leaders, marshals, and civic representatives that she dealt with in a diplomatic capacity.[1]
In 132 BBY,[3] Lobereki dined with Indara and a group of three other locals—Ohal Alond, Dyn Pilga, and Tianris Mez[1]—at a table in the back corner[4] of the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop in Point Ueda.[1] As they ate, the hooded Sith assassin Mae-ho Aniseya approached the table and addressed Indara, claiming they had unfinished business. Lowering herself into a fighting stance, Aniseya demanded the Jedi attack her, but after a moment of stunned silence, Mez began to laugh and Lobereki and the other locals joined in.[2]
The tables turn

Indara silenced the group with a raised hand and declined to fight the assassin, so Aniseya instead attacked and incapacitated Alond before[2] knocking Mez out when he tried to intervene.[4] Moving around the table, Lobereki grabbed at Aniseya, but she dodged him and punched Pilga in the stomach while dodging a punch from[2] him[1] in return. Lobereki then missed again with a kick before Aniseya rammed her elbow into his neck and punched him in the face. She then hurled him across a table in the center of the room. When Lobereki stood, the assassin had Pilga in a head lock, so the Duraceph reached for his blaster but found it stuck in its holster.[2]
Lobereki got one shot off at Mae-ho Aniseya before she knocked him out.
By the time he got it free, Aniseya had thrown Pilga to the ground and flipped a table up in front of her to shield herself from Lobereki's first shot. She then kicked the entire upended table into the courier, trapping him against another table[2] and knocking him out.[4] With her dining companions all incapacitated, Indara confronted Aniseya, but after a lengthy fight the assassin killed the Jedi and then left. The Jedi Order then investigated the incident.[2]
Personality and traits
Lobereki rarely used his blaster.
Lobereki admired Indara greatly and considered her somewhat attractive for a non-Duraceph. He had blue and tan skin and yellow eyes.[1]
Equipment
Lobereki owned a fast starship and carried a blaster with an oversized power cell, a black barrel and trigger, and a brown handle. Although he kept the cell charged, the courier rarely used the weapon, and it tended to stick in the holster on the gray belt he wore with a set of gray robes. He also wore metallic adornments and brown straps on his horns.[1]
Behind the scenes
Lobereki first appeared in "Lost / Found,"[2] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.[5] Prior to the release of the episode, Lobereki was revealed in a trailer exclusively shown at Celebration Europe[6] during the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase on April 7, 2023.[7] Creatures effects artist Robert Skene worked on the mould for Lobereki as part of Neal Scanlan's team.[8] The scenes in the noodle shop were filmed at Shinfield Studios,[9] England.[10] Lobereki was first identified in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]

Robert Skene (@robskenefx) on Instagram (post on July 21, 2024): "Now that Acolyte has finished, here are just a few of the characters I was involved with bringing to life. Everything was a huge team effort with everyone at CFX, and it was a dream come true, getting to be a part of it. My contribution varied from character to character, including clay walling, matrix molds, drafting cores, processing 3d printed molds, molding prosthetics and more, working alongside the fantastic team in Moldshop under Kenny Wilson. #starwars #theacolyte #cfx #creaturecantina #moldmaking #mouldmaking" (screenshot)
