Liskan was a world[3] located in the Liskan system in the Ojoster sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[2] Between around 8 BBY and 2 BBY,[4] the criminal Corbus Tyra traveled to Liskan in an attempt to escape Marshal Buck Vancto, who sought to arrest him. After Vancto shot Tyra's blaster out of his hand, he attempted to bargain for his release in exchange for providing the marshal with the smuggler Han Solo,[1] who was wanted by Vancto for a heist on Galator III.[5] Vancto dismissed the offer as he believed Solo to be dead. Tyra then informed the marshal Solo was not dead, and better for the marshal, he knew where Solo was.[1]
