The Lipsec system was located in the Koradin sector[2] of the Outer Rim Territories in grid square I-18 of the Standard Galactic Grid. The hyperspace route[1] known as the Lipsec Run[3] connected it to the Virgillia system[1] and also extended in the opposite direction from it, further Rimward.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Lipsec system was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon on a galactic map in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars Roleplaying boxed set.[1] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[2] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[5]
The Lipsec system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[6] The system subsequently made its first appearance in The Clone Wars: Act on Instinct, a webcomic authored by Pablo Hidalgo and released on StarWars.com[7] over the span of the 2009[8]–2010[9] second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series.[8]
