The Lerct Historical Institute,[1] also known as the Historical Institute of Lerct,[3] was an educational institute located on Lerct. The human[1] Beaumont Kin was a lecturer at the Institute[3] and was on track to becoming one of the youngest professors at the institute before the Hosnian Cataclysm, after which he abandoned his academic career to join the Resistance.[1]
Behind the scenes
Lerct Historical Institute was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2019 reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Lerct Historical Institute was first mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published in 1995.[4]
