The Lerct Historical Institute, also referred to simply as Lerct, was an educational institution based out of the celestial body Lerct[1] in the Expansion Region's Prackla sector.[2] At some point by 2 ABY,[3] the Arcona Ther-das was enrolled in the institute. During his second year as a student there, however, he became addicted to salt and his academic career was nearly undone. When Ther-das' addiction was discovered, he was expelled from the institute and placed in a recovery program.[1]

Afterward Ther-das was eventually re-admitted to the Lerct Historical Institute. He went on to graduate one season ahead of his projected schedule and received a degree in ancient weaponry. Soon after graduating from the institute, the Arcona received the position of acquisitions director of the Ancient Weaponry department of the Zuliria Museum of Antiquities on the Mid Rim celestial body Zuliria.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Lerct Historical Institute was mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]
