- "I could not stand by and allow such a vicious organization as the First Order to plunge the whole galaxy into darkness. But now, after the war, I do not know how to retrace my steps. I do not know how to once again be the historian who left Lerct because I do not know if that person still exists."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
Lerct was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] in the Lerct system in the Prackla sector of the Expansion Region[1] that was home to the Arhul Hextrophon School of Embedded Journalism and the Lerct Historical Institute. It was the homeworld of the human Beaumont Kin, who worked as a professor at the Lerct Historical Institute before joining the Resistance after the Hosnian Cataclysm.[2]
