Kuratow system

The Kuratow system was a star system located in the Brevost sector of the Expansion Region. It was situated in grid square O-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained[2] the sinking city of Kuratow. The Nightsister Merrin visited the city while traveling the galaxy after separating from the crew of the luxury yacht Stinger Mantis[3] between 12 BBY and 11 BBY.[4]

The Kuratow system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[5]

In Survivor, it is stated that the Stinger Mantis crew has been separated for several years, meaning the latest the separation could have taken place is 11 BBY. The crew has not yet separated during the events of Jedi: Battle Scars, which dates itself to a few years after Fallen Order, meaning the earliest the separation could have happened is 12 BBY.
