Kotab was a planet[3] located in the Kotab system of the Inner Rim Territories[1] and the Slice.[2] It was situated in grid square N-10 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The world was one of the homeworlds of the sentient Kotabi bond-twins Ceret and Terec,[3] alongside the planet Sagamore where the twins originated from.[4]
Behind the scenes
- "The issue also introduces Terec and Ceret who are two of the first Jedi that Keeve Trennis meets when she is posted to Starlight Beacon. Hailing from the planet Kotab, the pair are bond-twins, siblings who, for all intents and purposes, share the same gestalt mind."
- ―Cavan Scott, on the Kotabi twins' origins
Kotab was introduced via a mention in a StarWars.com article published on December 1, 2020 previewing the second issue of the 2021 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic,[3] the first appearance of Ceret and Terec.[5] The issue was released by Marvel Comics on February 3, 2021,[6] as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[7] The article directly quoted comic author Cavan Scott regarding Kotab.[3]
