Kiffu[5] was a planet[4] located in the Kiffex system in the Kiffu sector of the Inner Rim region of the galaxy.[2] It was one of two home planets of the sentient Kiffar species, along with Kiffex.[4] It was the homeworld of the Kiffar[6] Jedi Master Quinlan Vos,[5] who was active in the Jedi Order from at least 32 years before the Battle of Yavin[7][8][9] until the end of the Clone Wars,[10] survived the Great Jedi Purge[11] and assisted the underground network known as the Hidden Path until at least 9 BBY.[12]
Behind the scenes
Kiffu first appeared in Star Wars (1998) 20, the 20th issue of the Star Wars: Republic series of comics, as the home planet of Quinlan Vos.[13] Though this series of comics is now considered part of the continuity of Star Wars Legends,[14] the planet Kiffu was listed as Vos's homeworld in Ultimate Star Wars,[5] a canon guide to the Star Wars franchise released to the general public on April 28, 2015.[15] The Databank on the StarWars.com website later added an entry for the Kiffar specifying that the species' two home planets were Kiffu and Kiffex.[4]
