The Keptik system was a star system located in the Carrion sector of the Outer Rim[1] and New Territories.[2] It was situated in grid square J-4 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained the astronomical object Keptik, which had at least two moons. Lady Domina Tagge—the leader of Tagge Corporation—secured the rights to Keptik and its moons during a meeting held[3] around 3 ABY.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Keptik system was mentioned in[1] the October 13, 2025[5] update to "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com.[1] Both were written by Jason Fry.[6]

The events of Doctor Aphra (2020) 35 take place during the Star Wars: Dark Droids crossover event that StarWars.com Charles Soule Unleashes Dark Droids on StarWars.com (backup link) in turn places after Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters. Star Wars: Timelines dates War of the Bounty Hunters to 3 ABY. In addition, the flashbacks of Star Wars (2020) 50, which occur after the events of Star Wars (2020) 43 and thereby also after those of Dark Droids, take place approximately twenty-two years after Sheev Palpatine becoming Galactic Emperor, which Timelines dates to 19 BBY. Therefore Doctor Aphra (2020) 35 must be set around 3 ABY.
