The Kalki Nebula was a nebula located in the Tendrannan sector, a subsector of the Outer Rim Territories' Cassander sector. It was situated in grid square L-5 of the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] within both the New Territories[3] and the Borderlands,[2] the region between the territories of the First Order and New Republic.[4] Around 34 ABY,[5] the Resistance gunner Paige Tico wrote in her journal that pirates had been building bases inside the nebula for centuries, allowing them to organize hit-and-run attacks on nearby star systems.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Kalki Nebula was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the 2017 replica journal book The Last Jedi: Bomber Command, written by Jason Fry.[2] The nebula was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 2004 Wizards of the Coast sourcebook Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds.[6]
