The Kalinda system was located in the Vilonis sector[3] of the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Trailing Sectors regions,[2] in grid square O-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The Enarc Run[4] hyperspace route linked it to the Kira and Naboo systems.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Kalinda system was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon on a galactic map in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 Fantasy Flight Games' roleplaying game boxed set.[1] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[3] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[5]

The Kalinda system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via the roleplaying game adventure "Den of Spies." It was written by Richard and Barbara Clark and Janelle Keberle for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and was included in the 1993 book Twin Stars of Kira.[6]

Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
