The Jovan system was a star system in the Gordian Reach in the Outer Rim Territories,[1] near the Yavin system. According to the TIE fighter pilot Sax Hastur, it was an uneventful system focused on agricultural activities. Right after the battle of Portocari, the Galactic Empire was to send a task force to the Jovan system.[2]
