Jarbanov's moon orbited the barren planet Jarbanov, located in the inner section[2] of the Jarbanov system[4] on the outskirts of the junker systems[2] within an intersection between the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice region.[3] Jarbanov and its moon were situated in the Serathrace sector in the grid square P-11 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[4]
In 5 ABY,[5] the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing conducted an operation in which one of its squadrons, Squadron Four, attacked the colony on Jarbanov while the Quasar Fire-class cruiser-carrier Aerie collected the wreckage of nine TIE/ln space superiority starfighters from Jarbanov's orbital junk rings. In its escape from the planet, Squadron Four evaded a New Republic corvette in Jarbanov's orbit and rendezvoused with another cruiser-carrier, the Allegiance, behind Jarbanov's moon as planned beforehand. After collecting the squadron, the Allegiance escaped into hyperspace.[2]
Behind the scenes
Jarbanov's moon was mentioned in Shadow Fall: An Alphabet Squadron Novel, the second novel in Alexander Freed's Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron trilogy which was published in 2020.[2]
