- "Take a look at those coordinates. That's the Ishram system. The place where they found Shara'Tam."
"And?"
"And the Ishram system was destroyed about fifty years ago when its sun went nova. All of it, gone." - ―Dexter Jettster and Jarl
The Ishram system[3] was located in the Seitia sector of the Outer Rim[1] and Western Reaches.[2] It was situated in grid square J-20 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The Ishram system contained a sun that went supernova, destroying the entire system[3] around 72 BBY.[4] As a result, the system became the Ishram Nebula.[1] In 22 BBY,[4] the Besalisk Dexter Jettster tricked the Weequay criminal Jarl into thinking that a moon the latter was searching for, Shara'Tam, was in the Ishram system; in reality, it was in the Arath system.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Ishram system was mentioned in "Galactic Tales: Inheritance," an installment of the Galactic Tales series of short stories. The story was written by George Mann and was published in the Star Wars Insider magazine's 211th issue[3] on June 7, 2022.[5]
