Galactic Tales

"Galactic Tales" is a series of short stories published in the magazine Star Wars Insider, each being set around the time of their respective film and focusing on a hero or villain from the period. The first set of stories was published to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and were written by S.T. Bende, Richard Dinnick, George Mann and Rodney Barnes and published in Star Wars Insider 209^[1] to 212^[7] from March 15^[1] to August 2, 2022.^[8] The second set of stories was published for the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi and were written by Alexander Freed, S.T. Bende and Richard Dinnick and published in Star Wars Insider 220^[3] to 222^[9] from August 15^[10] to October 31, 2023.^[11] Another story written by Adam Lance Garcia for the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith was published in Star Wars Insider 233^[4] on August 19, 2025^[12] and two stories for the 10th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens written by Landry Q. Walker and Kristin Baver were published in Star Wars Insider 234^[5] and 235^[2] on October 14^[13] and December 9, 2025, respectively.^[6]
