- "Our doctors discovered the cure for Iridian Plague."
- ―A Tah'Nuhna
The Iridian Plague was a disease[1] that shared its name with the Iridia system of the Mid Rim Territories.[2] The disease existed in the galaxy prior to the First Order military's assault on the neutral Mid Rim world Tah'Nuhna[1] in 34 ABY.[3] The doctors of the Tah'Nuhna species had been the ones to find a cure for the plague. As the First Order launched their attack, one member of the species reflected on that and other achievements of the Tah'Nuhna.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Iridian Plague was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the first issue of the comic series Star Wars: Allegiance, written by Ethan Sacks and published by Marvel Comics[1] on October 9, 2019.[4] The disease originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.[5]
