Intelligence officer was a military rank. An ARC trooper served as an intelligence officer with the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.
Intelligence Officers were also members of Alliance Intelligence assigned to Alliance to Restore the Republic bases to interpret Intelligence reports. The Galactic Empire made use of Intelligence officers. Commander Biros Baran served as Eyrie Base's Intelligence Officer in 3 ABY.
