The Huk system was a star system located in Wild Space within grid square J-4 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It contained the planet Huk,[2] and other worlds.[3]

Although there were no sectors in Wild Space,[4] the "Huk sector"[3] was a shorthand name[4] for the Huk system and other neighboring systems, used by some individuals such as the New Republic survival compendium "Species From A to Z."[5]

Behind the scenes

The Huk system was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the eighth issue of the 2016 magazine Helmet Collection and was identified in the appendix "Star Systems of the Galaxy," published with "Star Wars Galaxy Map" article on the StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[6] The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[7]

Star Wars Helmet Collection 8 states that the planets Huk and Kalee are from the same star system.[2] However, Star Systems of the Galaxy placed the planets in their separate star system.[1] Additionally, the reference booklet "The Separatists" described Huk and Kalee as being located in the "Huk sector,"[3] but Jason Fry has indicated this is an error.[4]
