Hijoian Space was a sector of the Expansion Region that contained the Hijo system and the Ichalin Station system. Both star systems fell within grid square J-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Hijoian Space was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[2] The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] Hijoian Space was then provided a visual depiction on a map by Modi included in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, which was written by Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[4]
