The Hibrath system was located in Unknown Regions in grid square G-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It contained the location known as the Straits of Hibrath, through which the Duros Sith Lord Darth Caldoth traveled in his shuttle[2] at some point between approximately 5000 BBY and 1032 BBY[3] in order to reach the moon Obsidia[2] of the Obsidia system.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Hibrath system was introduced via an appearance of the Straits of Hibrath in "The Gilded Cage," a short story written by George Mann and included in the 2020 collection Dark Legends.[2] The system was subsequently identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[4]

- ↑ During the events of "The Gilded Cage," Darth Caldoth is a Sith Lord known to the Jedi Order. Therefore, the events of the story must take place after the formation of the Sith and before their supposed extinction. As Star Wars: Timelines dates those events to around 5000 BBY and 1032 BBY, respectively, "The Gilded Cage" must take place between those two dates.
