Obsidia was a storm-wracked moon located in the Unknown Regions. The moon orbited a tempestuous gas giant that was slowly being torn apart by gravitational pressure, which caused Obsidia's orbit to slowly decay and fall toward the planet. As its name implied, the moon was mainly a glistening black rock. An ancient relic was housed in a temple on Obsidia, containing a guardian spirit that was powerful in the Force. The Sith Lord Darth Caldoth traveled to Obsidia after the Nightsister Zeldin attempted to influence his thoughts and lead him to his death at the hands of the powerful spirit. However, Caldoth, aware of the Nightsisters' machinations, exploited the connection Zeldin had with his mind to draw a binding ritual from her consciousness and use it on the entity, forcing it into a vial.[1]
