- "So, you're saying it's an impossible heist."
"No, I'm saying it's the most impossible heist."
"What if I had a plant to pull it off?"
"What if I sprouted wings and flew to Alderaan?"
"I'm serious. Trust me." - ―Phaedra and Han Solo
Between around 8 BBY and 2 BBY,[3] the criminals Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Phaedra carried out a heist on the Imperial capital of Coruscant to recover an urn[2] they believed contained the ashes of Krestrel D'Naran, the archrival of Jabba Desilijic Tiure.[5] The urn had been deemed of value after the Empire impounded Solo's ship, the Millennium Falcon, so it was sent to the office of Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin.[2]
After learning of the urn's whereabouts from the Rodian bounty hunter Greedo, Solo, Chewbacca, and Phaedra made their way to Coruscant, though Solo was highly doubtful that the job could be pulled off. Phaedra, however, came up with a plan, and after calling in a couple of favors from friends, the trio had acquired uniforms to disguise themselves as waste disposal personnel as the Empire did not do background checks on those who worked in the sewers. When they arrived at the sewers, Phaedra gave Solo and Chewbacca the full schematics to the sewer network and Tarkin's building so that they could get in that way, whilst Phaedra disguised herself as the RA-7 protocol droid 6D6-RA-8 and tried to get Tarkin to leave his office.[2]
Once Phaedra persuaded Tarkin to leave the office to speak with Emperor Palpatine, Solo and Chewbacca arrived and killed the Grand Moff's guard of death troopers. Solo then made his way into a room where he found the urn. Not long after, stormtroopers arrived and fired on them. Phaedra, as part of her plan to escape the office, smashed a window, knowing that a train was would be outside when they jumped. The trio jumped from the window and landed on a train, exactly as Phaedra had planned. At this point, a stormtrooper demanded the three halt. The trooper shot Chewbacca, and the Wookiee fell off of the train and into the city.[2]
As he fell Chewbacca grabbed hold of a speeder, turning it to the side and causing an Imperial officer to fall out of it, before the Wookiee got into the speeder. Meanwhile, Solo and Phaedra were still aboard the train, though Solo dropped the urn on the train, which split it open. Phaedra grabbed the bottom half whilst Solo collected the top, and she learned that what was inside the urn was not ashes as they been informed and asked him what it was. The three returned to the Falcon and at the suggestion of Solo, they visited former Sava Korin Pers on Nar Shaddaa, who informed them they had the neural core of the droid insurgent Ajax Sigma,[4] who had been destroyed centuries before by the Jedi Order.[6]
